Greetings Pickwatch nation, whatever that even means. We just wanted to take a quick breather to highlight some of the changes we've made over the last few weeks, because when everything is flying around at 100mph, it can often be too hectic to even get half an hour to write one of these out and tell you guys where to fund stuff
As much as we love building this site every week, it can be painstaking and very challenging at times. One bit that we love , however, is every Wednesday sitting down and compiling the expert power rankings from our 10 selected outlets
Every week on a Monday I'll take the opportunity to get on my soapbox in a new regular weekly column. We'll still focus on the expert picks that we know you guys love, but we'll also take the opportunity to get into more meaty general topics and stuff that may be less pick-centric than our usual content
Well, we're back with our weekly Sunday look at the week's NFL matchups. Last week was an odd one, with wins for Buffalo, Tennessee and Miami that massively upset the odds. Lets delve deeper into our stats and give you more of an idea how the experts can help you this week
It's been a long, busy day here at Pickwatch HQ so far
There's no other way to put it: The Ray Rice video that TMZ has leaked to the world exposes Ray Rice as a criminal who has been protected by those in power
Hola chums, let's delve deeper into the matchups of the first week back and get a few more stats on the go shall we?
Michael Silver, NFL Network's roving reporter and general 'insider', has retired from picking games publicly in an eloquent message to his fans on Facebook
Parity eh? What a great idea.
Pickwatch is back for another season
Hello there, Pickwatch Shaun here to give you a quick run-down of what will be happening this week on the site. This is the last full week before we start our usual Pickwatch routine, tracking the expert picks and helping you to make the best decisions each week
Hello ladies and Gentleman. I'm here to tell you about how Pickwatch's 2014 season will be different from... well from any other season you've experienced
Think about Jerry Jones for a second. The chances are you're not impressed with the image. Is it the firing of coaches? Is it the way he promotes the Cowboys? The influence he has on the NFL owner meetings? Is it just his face? It's a pretty annoying face, we grant you
It's Newshound time again and today we find out why predicting first round QB's can go wrong for those who tell us that taking first round QB's can go wrong
Our regular look at some of the more tenuous NFL media stories continues. It's officially draft-season, which means reams of speculation, very little tangible evidence, and a lot of contradictions
Here's Pickwatch's regular newshound column, trying to make sense of the vacuous offseason speculation in the media
It's been a busy offseason here at Pickwatch, and soon you'll be able to see the fruits of those labors as we move to a new interface that allows you to pick against the experts and win cash prizes
Continuing our offseason profiling of the NFL's TV experts, here's a look at arguably NFL Networks biggest personality, Deion Sanders
In the first of a new series for the offseason, Pickwatch takes the TV experts to task and breaks down the strengths and many, many weaknesses of NFL media analysts
Wow. Well did you see that coming?
Well it's the morning after the night before, or rather it's the afternoon after the night... you get the idea. Time has passed.
The NFC title game is - for the second time in four years - a divisional struggle. This time it's the turn of the NFC West, and if you'd have told me three years ago that the NFC West would have the two best teams in the conference, I'd have got genuinely angry with you and possibly stood on your foot to emphasise it
It's Conference Championship weekend and we have two of the best matchups we could have hoped for.
Last week we successfully predicted that the Saints would finally break their road hoodoo (great word) in Philadelphia, but a day trip to the North-West is slightly different
Today's interview is with our 2013 regular season winner, John Halpin.
Welcome to the first of two interviews this week with some of the top ranked NFL experts this season.
Well, it's been a long time coming, there's no doubt about that.
Call it a gut feeling, but I think (personally) this is where the Saints' road woes end
Playoffs? Don't talk to me about playoffs.
The fashion colors for fall and winter.
The regular season is now over, meaning that its time to crown our 2013 winner.
Pickwatch Phil-ip Rivers can lead the super Chargers to a playoff spot today, if things in other games go their way.
The NFL deserves some credit for the recent trend of making divisional games even more meaningful by scheduling one at the end of each season for every team.
A year ago this matchup would have not been half the matchup it is today.
Hello fellow Pickwatchers. While we'll continue tracking analysts into the playoffs (and perhaps beyond...) it's time to crown our regular season champ for 2013.
AFC East! AFC East! AFC East! Does it mean anything though? By golly it does! Well, for Miami at least...
Pickwatch Phil, here, back with another Week 17 Pickwatch Preview
With week 17 approaching like a scud missile that has been sent to destroy all sense of enjoyment in our lives, the NFL regular season is nearly over
A classic SNF matchup as again, the fates of the NFC North and NFC East converge
If the Patriots proved one thing in week 15, it was that defensively, their injuries have taken such a toll that they are now at the very limit of their personnel capabilities
The Packers and Steelers are in a phase where they are breaking away from their trends over the first three quarters of the season
his is a rematch of a game the Saints won comfortably on Monday Night Football a few weeks back, but the Panthers are - wait for it - A DIFFERENT ANIMAL at home
A lot of people are down on the Cowboys, and understandably so given the ineptitude on display last week as they blew a 21pt lead in the second half against Green Bay
Ah the Jags. Thank god they are becoming a little more predictable after their most un-Jaguaresque run that saw them take down the powerhouses of erm... Cleveland and Houston. Twice.
Statistically the hardest game of the week to pick, the Browns and their strong defence take on Geno and the Jets in a rainy game that could get messy in more ways than one
