Don't call it a comeback.
Last week was an insane week for underdogs, and we turned that into a bumper profit, completely eradicating week 1's nightmare scenario (only 3 underdog winners across the NFL) in just one week. As turnarounds go, it'll take some beating.
And the craziest thing? It could have been even better. We won our Buffalo (+120), New Orleans (+235) and Tampa Bay (+295) picks to easily rack up a big profit, but the Giants also nearly won - and likely would have if they had a healthy kicker at the end of the game, which would have boosted our profit significantly. We also had Cleveland, Atlanta and Las Vegas firmly in our crosshairs until (conservatively) playing safe in order to protect our winning season record, but those of you in the Upset Watch Discord know exactly what my thoughts were on the Falcons and Raiders in particular.
All of which somewhat spectacularly means we are in profit by week 2, despite a shock $400+ loss in week 1. Sometimes, the football gods can be fickle, but they've been good to us for many years now, so we can't complain too much! We've counted only half of our Raiders cover profit too, as by the end of the week I had downgraded the cover pick to just not risking it given week 1. Some of you, we know, got that, so well done!
