Here are my Week 6 notes. They were posted later than usual this week due to Hurricane Milton, which put us out of power for more than a day (all is well otherwise).

Jacksonville at Chicago (London)

Don’t sell Travis Etienne Jr. short just yet. The last time the Jaguars gave a bunch of carries to Tank Bigsby, they came back the next week and returned that work to Etienne. This may be a matter of workload management, so be sure to get Etienne into lineups and don’t rely too heavily on Bigsby.

Washington at Baltimore

Austin Ekeler should be a flex in most leagues, but don’t forget that Jeremy McNichols has three rushing touchdowns the past two weeks. If McNichols gets the goal line carries against this week, Ekeler may have a lower than hoped for scoring ceiling.

Arizona at Green Bay

Don’t sell Kyler Murray short. He’s putting up huge numbers on the ground and this game could be one of the higher scoring matchups in Week 6. That’s why he’s fourth on my QB rankings board and thus should be in most lineups.

Houston at New England

The Texans foolishly wore Mixon out earlier this season with 30 carries in Week 1. They won’t make that same mistake again now that he’s missed games but do expect that they will cap his work at 18-20 scrimmage plays. That should still be worthy of RB1/RB2 status this week.

Tampa Bay at New Orleans

Get Tampa Bay players in your lineup, as the Buccaneers are going to try to go track meet mode. That includes Baker Mayfield, who has a very good chance at another 20+ point game today.

Cleveland at Philadelphia

Be wary of starting Dallas Goedert this week. Mind you, he’s still a solid start candidate if you don’t have a strong backup at the incredibly thin TE position, but with DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown returning this week, targets may be hard to come by. Combine that with Philadelphia having a very favorable rush defense matchup and Goedert may be hard pressed to see more than six targets.

Indianapolis at Tennessee

It’s tough to suggest starting any of the Colts wide receivers, as their fantasy scoring totals just aren’t anywhere near as strong when Anthony Richardson plays, which he is expected to do this week.

Los Angeles Chargers at Denver

The Broncos may have the best defense in the league right now. It’s not enough to keep J.K. Dobbins out of starting lineups, but it may be enough to sit just about any other Chargers player given the tough road matchup.

Pittsburgh at Las Vegas

He isn’t getting much through the air, but Justin Fields is so productive on the ground that he does rate as a low-end QB1 this week.

Atlanta at Carolina

Darnell Mooney has already posted three games with 14+ PPR points this year. This matchup is one of the most favorable coverage-wise, and it could lead to a 20-point game for Mooney, so get him into lineups.

Detroit at Dallas

Look for Sam LaPorta to finally have a breakout game, as this matchup is very favorable, and the Lions may need to get into shootout mode.

Cincinnati at New York Giants

This is a week to strongly consider starting Daniel Jones if you have him as a backup quarterback. Jones is rushing the ball very well and Cincinnati’s defense might be the worst in the league right now. It’s enough to land Jones a No. 8 ranking on the QB board and may be enough to justify starting him over other quarterbacks such as Dak Prescott or Anthony Richardson.

Buffalo at New York Jets

The Jets D/ST just posted 11 fantasy points versus a powerhouse Vikings offense. They rate as a strong starter here even with the seemingly subpar matchup, as the Bills offense has been struggling some of late.
