If you're the type of guy or gal who says 'hey, I'd like to see every NFL expert pick in one place!' then you've come to the right joint. Here's a quick run-down of the last week in Pickwatch...
First of all, you can view this week's picks here, or by clicking the 'week 8 expert picks' button at the top. If you haven't worked that much out, there may not be much point in continuing, but I'll persevere anyway.

Week 7 in Review

Last week should have been a high scoring week as there was a great deal of consensus amongst the experts. 9 games had 90% or more experts picking in favour of one team, which usually signifies a week where a lot of teams are overmatched. As the the Bills proved, however, even when all is lost, you can always rely on a Tannehill fumble to completely screw you over/save you.

Last Week on 'Seconds from Disaster'...

Top Experts:

Tom Jackson and Keyshawn Johnson led a good week for ESPN as they finished with 3 of the top 4 pickers. Also picking well was Chris Brockman of the Rich Eisen Podcast with 11, a score that moved him up into the top 10 overall. It was also a good week for Bleacher Report, who ended the week's games with 3 members of the top 11 (the only time you will ever hear talk of a 'top 11').

Pick of the Week:
Buffalo? Nope. Indy? Nah... I'm going with Pittsburgh as my top Pickwatch pick of week 7, as 100% of our top 10 picked the Steelers, whereas 70% of our bottom 10 picked the Ravens. These are the most telling matchups, because anyone can have a hit-and-hope swing and miss at the Redskins, Colts or Jets, but picking the Steelers in a tight contest which could go either way was clearly a difference maker this week. Honorable (yeah I spelled it like you guys...) mention goes to those who picked the Bengals, again accounting for a high percentage of top 10 pickers, while those picking the Lions generally languished towards the bottom of the table.

Worst Pick of the Week
Apart from those mentioned above, the Vikings caught out more than just me this week. Josh Freeman's debut was - in terms you or I can relate to - roughly the equivalent of bin juice. You know the stuff. Anyway, there is a notable display of purple at the bottom of this week's table, indicating that believing in Minnesota is bad for your health. Incidentally, Ro Jaworski's NFL picks this week indicated he was picking the Vikings for at least 3 days. Quite what prompted this temporary insanity is unknown. Perhaps Kornheiser wanted payback and spiked his coffee with Temazepan? Maybe Merrill Hoge conned Jaworski into picking the Vikes on the back of the 72 hours of game film Hoge had managed to watch by Wednesday this week?

Calling bulls--- on Merril Hoge saying he watched 72 hours of film this week.

Whatever it was, Jaws has now picked the Packers, and all is well in the world.

Top Network of the week
Well done to ESPN who not only remain atop our Network standings with a frankly unhealthy 71.8% success rate, but also had the best average of any network for the 4th time in 7 weeks. Amazing scenes here, Jim. Seriously every week the ESPN guys have come out fighting and regularly beaten all opposition. They now lead the overall standings individually (Ron Jaworski) and have a 6%+ advantage over other networks. Will they slip up? It's definitely possible with Allen, Golic, Ditka and Hige in their ranks, but only time will tell.

Incidentally special mention to FOX, who continue to hold second place this week on the back of some consistent performances...

Clutch Picker of the week
I love clutch pickers. Not in a sexual way you understand, but... alright in a sexual way. You got me. Anyway, I love the stat and it's just one of a few things that we bring you at Pickwatch that nowhere else does. As of next week, myself and new additions Pickwatch Phil and Pickwatch Gwil - selected entirely for their rhyming names - will be bringing you the most in-depth stats yet, with individual home and road records of every expert for every team. For now though, Clutch Pickers remains a great way of determining who picks close games the best. Obviously. Or I'd have called it something else entirely.

FOX's Joel Beall continues to lead from Gregg Rosenthal of NFL's Around the League, but after a poor week, the 60% crew of Matt Miller, Ty Schalter, Chris Law, Ryan Fowler and Ron Jaworski are lurking below...

Non-Picking News of the Week

This page (ie: me) is a noted opponent of the idea to take an NFL franchise and transplant it to London. I detailed some of the main reasons for this back in June, however with two London games this year, speculation is - as usual - ramped up to a stupid level as people ask obvious questions of Roger Goodell. The British press ask 'CAN WE HAVE ONE PLEASE?!' while the American press ask Goodell if he is serious. Only now is it beginning to sink in that this isn't going to go away.

Anyway, my one question for Roger Goodell is this: Assuming that at some point, you, Jerry and the boys all sat down to have a good ol' white guy chat one day about the logistical problems, what was the best solution you could come up with for all the ENORMOUS PROBLEMS - highlighted for your convenience - your experiment could cause the league? If it was any good, if it was so workable that you're carrying on with all this, then share it with the fans on both sides of the Atlantic and we'll let you know what we think...

I mean... assuming you care...

That's the NFL's Week 7 in review - let's hope for better this week where we have a record 6 games with experts in complete agreement. It bodes well for pickers, but who will be this week's Buffalo Bills? Could it even be the Buffalo Bills? The answer is, of course, no. It can't. However it could be the Miami Dolphins... just throwing that one out there.
Good luck, happy picking, follow us on twitter or email us with any corrections, requests or comments. We always try to reply and help out where possible. Thanks for all your comments and help so far, as we approach every new milestone it is you that make this all possible. That and us doing lots of work. But no, you should definitely take the credit... honestly some people...
