Progress.

Week 8 was marginally more enjoyable than the last two. We managed two underdog winners in the biggest games of the week, picking the Lions and Chiefs to beat the Vikings and 49ers, respectively. It's always good to get wins in the biggest games of the week, particularly with likely playoff teams too.

We also had some generally pretty solid analysis of other games, and while we whiffed on the Giants (ugh) and Patriots (a good advert for ending games after the first drive), we pegged the Cardinals as the most likely best of the rest pick, and the Texans as a tight game. Sometimes, it's the non-picks that haunt you, but avoiding the Texans and Buccaneers who were trending upwards, was a good thing.

Top picks

We won 2 of our 4 top picks, the Chiefs and Lions, for a +2 unit win.

All underdog picks

We also picked the Titans to cover, which was wrong wrong wrong. Maybe Mason Rudolph isn't the answer to getting the Titans defense the QB they deserve. That went 0-1, so in all picks, we ended up -3 units on all picks involving underdogs.
