I don't want to go all Lisa Simpson on you, but a few games have caught my eye as 'trap' games that are being heavily favoured one way or another, and frankly I won't stand for it damn it! Here's a couple of titbits gleaned from this week's expert picks...

Firstly, tonight's matchup between the Bills and Browns. To me, this seems like a relatively close matchup, in fact at first glance I may actually favour the Bills (I've picked them), but for 89% of NFL experts to favour Cleveland? (at time of writing) This is MADNESS!

Remember the Browns have no running game to speak of, and a solid but still not reliable passing attack. Sound familiar? That's because the Bills turned over the Ravens in a similar scenario on Sunday. I fancy the Bills D to cause the Browns more problems than Cincinnati's beat up secondary and linebacking unit did. I also like Robert Woods to score again tonight. Woods looks the real deal, an every-down receiver with physical skills to make the jump to the top level and E.J. Manuel - while still growing - doesn't seem the type to be fazed by a trip to Ohio.

The second matchup I want to bring up is the Texans @ 49ers game on Sunday night. Now I know the Texans have been wild lately, but they've consistently been in or around it at the tail end of games. Only Baltimore blew them out, and I like their chances to have a shot. Again, it's not necessarily that I believe they're a 'great' team, but they are better than a 14% chance, which is all the experts give them. Don't get too hung up on Schaub being Schit, instead think about what is a very balanced attack and a defence that knows how to give opposing QB's a great deal of trouble. They may not win, but they're not as bad as advertised.

I'd also like to mention the Jags @ Rams game, if only because 1) their uniforms are abysmal and 2) they really are as bad a team as I can remember. They have the feel of a World League team in those horrendous Orlando Thunder-esque jerseys, while they also have the feel of a World League team in that horrendous offence. This feels like a winnable game for the Jags in any other year, but I imagine right now Robert Quinn is desperately trying to sleep in order to get Sunday to come quicker.

As always, feel free to disagree on Twitter or via Email at [email protected]. I just want to re-emphasise too, that you should never pick the Jags. Even if they sign Tebow. ESPECIALLY if they sign Tebow.
