Each week in the NFL teams are praised and scolded, experts part with opinions and the public scorn over Twitter. Add a dash of green and red arrows and a drop of hyperbole and what are you left with? The NFL power rankings. Here at Pickwatch, we love to compare and contrast, statisticise (it's not a word, but i'll run with it) and collate, so it stands to reason that every Tuesday we visit our favourite NFL news outlets, collect and mould everything into a well formatted table so you, and I, can scrutinise the numbers. The power.

We calculate average position across 10 (TEN) different sites, positional changes from week to week and show you where your team fared the best and worst (Jacksonville fans, we're looking at you), culminating in the definitive* (and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise**) power rankings for our beloved NFL.

Now don't call me petty _but I can't help but think the New Orleans Saints are _free fallin'. (@PickwatchPhil for more gold) They've hit a slide again in the past few weeks and are currently settled at a season-low 24th in our table. That's sub-Dalton, Hoyer and Fitzpatrick, guys. Just desserts for getting thumped in your own yard for a fourth-time in a row this season? Who dat. Carolina take the spoils from their match up and are one of our three biggest jumpers from week 14. I do believe we should award extra points to both teams, however, who took part in one of the most comical mass brawls I've ever seen. Three reasons: cleats, tarmac, Tony Siragusa.

The Titans are now the worst team in football. Dead last. I'm not sure what they've got left in their locker...(@PickwatchPhil) but at least with games at home to the relentlessly faltering Jets and a road trip to previous incumbents Jacksonville, you'd assume they won't end the season down there.

Oakland (up 3.1) are handsomely rewarded for their brave win over the 49ers (down -3.1) by stepping out of the thirties! To twenty nine! Next stop: Super Bowl.

Overall, we had nine teams going up and twelve teams heading down! And my beloved Minnesota Vikings are 2-0 in the last two games, baby.
