New York Giants (2-10) vs. New England Patriots (10-2) Preview

The Patriots come into Monday night with a roster still adjusting to injury losses on both sides of the ball. Offensively, New England is expected to be without RB Rhamondre Stevenson (toe), leaving the backfield to a committee approach. Starting TE Austin Hooper remains in concussion protocol, thinning the Patriots’ red-zone options. Defensively, New England enters tonight down multiple rotational DBs, which could stretch their nickel packages and force heavier zone usage.

The Giants enter the night dealing with significant injuries of their own. WR Malik Nabers remains out for the season with an ACL tear, and WR Darius Slayton is unlikely to suit up (hamstring). On defense, New York continues to miss key linebacker depth, and a pair of defensive backs remain questionable, creating uncertainty in coverage matchups. The one bright spot: rookie QB Jaxson Dart is fully cleared (hamstring) and will start, giving the Giants their best chance at generating explosive plays.

From a matchup standpoint, this game is likely to be defined by which offense can function despite its missing personnel. The Patriots will lean heavily on short passing, play-action, and ball control to protect their makeshift skill group. The Giants may try to push tempo early, leveraging Dart’s arm strength and mobility against a Patriots secondary that is thinner than usual. With both teams lacking elite downfield threats tonight, expect a game built around efficiency, field position, and third-down conversions.

Weather in East Rutherford should be cool but playable, with winds light enough not to dramatically impact the passing game. In betting markets, the Patriots are slight road favorites, but the combination of injuries and two inconsistent offenses has pushed many analysts toward the under.
