What exactly is a Middle Bet?

If you don't know about Middles, you're missing out.

A middle bet occurs when two lines are different for the same market, creating a 'middle' in which both bets can win. For example, if A.J. Barner's reception line is set at 2.5 with Draftkings, and 3.5 with Fanduel, then if he has 3 receptions exactly, you win both bets.

The beauty of a middle bet is that usually, it can be done with minimal risk, often less than 5% of your total stake. If you bet $10 on the over 2.5 at -112, and $10 on the under at -105, for example, you'd lose only $1.10 of your $20 stake, or 5.5%. Meanwhile if the middle hits, you've almost doubled your money!

Risk Factor

We'll tell you exactly what the possible stakes and returns are, and whether they're classed as low or high risk, while explaining all of the possible outcomes. You can change your max stake in the filters to suit your current bankroll too!

Market ROI

When green, this icon signifies that the market has a positive ROI, meaning that bets generate a profit. We break down the 7, 14 and 30 day profitability, and show the number of bets that were flagged on our system in that span.

Target Line

This is an exclusive one that you won't find anywhere else.

We break down whether the specific target line falls in a sweet spot, or in a dead zone. In the example above, you can see that lower NBA player points totals tend to hit (or get close to) the current middle value more frequently than higher ones, and that the 10 points falls in a bracket that suggests it's a good bet.

This is one of the single most important factors we found in our testing. As you can see, there is very little point betting even the most profitable markets, if the value is in a range that rarely hits. This is the breakdown within the breakdown, so you're not just betting a good market, but a great one.

Player Average

We'll show you very simply how close a player has been over their last 5 games to the target line. In this example, we can see that Jaden Ivey has either hit the target line, or been within 1 point of it, in 4 of his last 5. That's a great indicator that whatever happens, he'll have a realistic shot at the 7 points you need to win both sides of the bet.

Individual player performance is a huge factor in whether you should bet a middle (or any bet), and we've weighted our ratings to ensure that players are able to be individually hot, even if a market itself isn't normally right at the top of the list.

I can't emphasize enough how important these tools are to anyone looking at middle betting, and how much they're informed by us spending much of 2025 testing every angle, every subset of data, and rigorously throwing out the data you don't need, so that you're not wasting your money betting on Hail Marys that will never come off.

Instead, you now have more information than is publicly available anywhere else, and a simplified star rating system that allows you to quickly leap on great player/market/line combinations, while avoiding the ones that don't hit.
