Week 7 in the NFL saw one of the best comebacks in league history and featured a fantastic matchup between two long-time veterans.

The week started with a thriller between 40-year-old quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Joe Flacco. Both turned back the clock, with Rodgers throwing for four touchdowns, Flacco throwing for three, and the Bengals grabbing what could be a season-changing win on a walk-off field goal. We also saw one of the more unlikely comebacks, with the Broncos scoring all 33 of their points in the fourth quarter to erase a 19-0 deficit, and beat the Giants 33-32 on a last-second field goal.

As we approach the midway point of the season, some teams are playing very well. The Chiefs look like they are back to championship form, having won four of their last five games, including a 31-0 win over the Raiders.

Other teams have started to make a charge as they put together winning streaks. The Broncos are currently in first place in the AFC West, thanks to four straight wins. With the Bills losing two straight, the Patriots, with their four-game winning streak, have moved to the top of the AFC East standings. The NFC North is heating up, especially now that the Bears have racked up three straight victories.

As for players, the MVP rankings haven’t changed, with Patrick Mahomes (+150) still leading and Josh Allen (+400) behind him. While Baker Mayfield (+450) remains in third, his odds dipped after the loss to the Lions.

NFL Week 8 Preview

For Week 8, there are several matchups to keep your eye on. Thursday night features the Vikings vs. Chargers, two teams with playoff aspirations looking to bounce back after a loss.

On Sunday, we start with the Panthers, who have three straight wins, hosting the Bills, who are trying to snap a two-game losing streak. The Ravens will get Lamar Jackson back just in time for a must-win against the Bears.

Sunday night features a revenge game for Aaron Rodgers, as he and the Steelers play the Packers — his former team — for the first time since leaving after the 2022 season. The week ends with a tough test for the Commanders as they have to go to Arrowhead and take on the Chiefs without Jayden Daniels.
