Well, that was as close as it gets.

We picked the Lions to beat the 49ers, and what looked like a great pick morphed into a crushing defeat as the Niners recovered from a 24-7 half-time deficit, to win 34-31. We were on the right track with Detroit (especially at +280), but the collapse in the second half will of course go down in the annals of NFL history as one of the great chokes of the 2020's.

All of which leaves us down $100 as that was our only pick for the conference round. We're still on course for a profit regardless of our Super Bowl pick, but as always, we'll pick what we see, and if we don't think the underdog will win, we'll say that too!
