Notes:

  • The Bills arrest a 2 week slide of almost 10 places by climbing to 18th overall
  • Power rankings are beginning to stabilize – at least for a week. Only 5 teams fell by an average of more than 3 places…
  • …while only 3 teams rose by more than 4.
  • Good news for Jacksonville and Oakland fans: Your team did not fall any lower in the rankings. ‘Well done’.
  • San Diego cap an impressive rise from an average of 15th in week 2 to come in top spot for two networks, FOX and NFL.com
  • Speaking of NFL.com, we don’t know what they have against the Seahawks, but they’ve finally ranked them in the top 3 after 2 weeks outside, including a season low of 7th in week 3.
  • The Steelers and Texans divide opinions the most this week, with a range of 11 places between their highest and lowest spots.
  • The Steelers are as high as 12th (SBnation) and as low as 23rd (FOX).
  • The Texans fall to 26th in the eyes of Bleacher Report, yet climb to 15th in the USA Today rankings.
  • The Giants have a tough run upcoming, but this week marks the first time they have cracked the top 16 this season.
  • The Falcons have appeared in either biggest riser or faller for 4 weeks straight. In week 4, they were 9th overall with an average position of 10.4.
  • They now rank 24th with an average of 22.3. That’s not a good thing.
