With the upcoming end of some serious work, it'll be time over the summer to focus on Pickwatch and getting it to where I want it to be for the start of the season. There are a few areas I'll be focusing on for next season, and just so people know that I haven't completely abandoned the project, I'll list them below.

  • Back End Changes - This will mainly involve improving the calculations I do to make the production of weekly columns far more efficient.
  • New 'streak' Statistics - This is my priority after the formula and coding updates. With so many experts and wild fluctuations every week, it can sometimes be difficult to work out who has been consistently good. I'll be adding plenty of new content to make sure that readers can track exactly who has been good or bad over any range of weeks. In addition to that, I'll also be adding...
  • Individual Statistics - How good is Warren Sapp at picking the Eagles? Has Gregg Rosenthal picked every Cardinals road game correct?* I'll make sure you can get the best statistical data, so you can decide for yourself who the most trustworthy analysts are for the games you want to pick.
  • New Categories - many experts who offer us their opinions each week fall into one of just a handful of categories: Journalists, ex-players, presenters or - possibly the most crucial - those who are actually paid cash money to be legit experts. I'm going to spend some time in preparation for next season developing new tables to reflect who falls into what category, and how good each group is against each other.
  • New Graphical UI - This is pretty low on my list of things to do. I'm pretty hopeful that we can improve how the site looks and how readers interact with it. With a bit of luck, that will be in place before September.

Hopefully all of these features will play ball and won't be a complete pain to add, but on the off chance that they are, I reserve the right to change absolutely nothing and in fact be worse than last year. In all seriousness, the concept of this site is to put the NFL 'experts' - of which there are far, far too many - into perspective. No matter what features I add or remove, you can safely bet that expert predictions will remain the focus.

As always, sionara, adios, and au revoir.
